At Youwe, we believe growth starts with curiosity and learning by doing. As an Accounts Payable Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience within Finance & Accounting while supporting and improving our financial operations in an international environment.

You’ll work closely with the Finance team, contribute to daily Accounts Payable processes, and gain insight into the more technical side of financial administration. At the same time, you’ll have the opportunity to take initiative, identify improvements, and develop yourself professionally.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Support the Accounts Payable team with daily operational tasks

  • Process invoices, manage supplier administration, and support reconciliations

  • Assist with AP-related month-end closing activities

  • Identify inefficiencies within financial processes and suggest improvements

  • Contribute to the optimization and automation of AP workflows

  • Work with financial systems and gain experience in technical accounting processes

  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support smooth financial operations

  • Support process improvement initiatives within the Finance team

From daily administration to process optimization, you’ll play an active role in improving the efficiency and quality of our financial operations.

Job requirements

Must-haves:

  • Available for an internship starting September 2026 (5–6 months)

  • Available for 32–40 hours per week

  • Available to work from our Rotterdam office at least 3 days per week

  • Enrolled at a Dutch university or university of applied sciences (HBO/WO)

  • Studying Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Strong attention to detail and a structured way of working

  • Analytical mindset and eagerness to learn

  • Proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative

  • Good communication skills in both Dutch and English

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Nice-to-haves:

  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles

  • Experience working with Excel or financial systems

  • Interest in process optimization and financial operations

  • Interest in international business environments
